My paintings are colored in black and gold. [black → the darkness of this world, gold → the radiance of femininity] I paint with the theme of yin and yang coexisting and shining in one's own way. This piece was completed on Tanabata (Star Festival) 🎋. My experiences of being drawn to stars and the universe were incorporated into the motif, and I expressed the way of being and living as a woman. As I look like an African woman, I have given the painting a strong expression that evokes that. In addition, I used traditional Japanese materials [washi paper, ink, and gold paint] to express my inner self. I believe that those who pick up my paintings, who find inspiration and solace in them, will become even greater beings and [shine].
